The morale boosts of life

We live life, hopefully trying hard, maybe even better, our hardest, doing what we truly want to do deep inside. Even though we're busy riding a full time job every week day, come home, needing something to eat and perhaps even needing to take care of a child. This does take a toll on you, hence why it's important to soothe yourself from time to time with life's candy. The things you seek to have free access to after you've hit a goal. Perhaps financial success, the brain clarity potion, removing financial insecurities chaining us to places in life we don't want to be in.

These morale boosters can really be the difference between dreaming of your life you want to achieve vs the life you get to actually achieve at the end of the day.

The candy pieces of life

When you eat your salad every day, i.e fighting for your business to grow, your dream project to come alive, perhaps a video game you're developing in the few hours of spare time we're able to afford in this current state of our lives. When toiling away, nothing beats some sweet, sweet candies of life.

What do I mean with candies of life? Well, it's quite simple. Just like our mouths and mind love sugar, so does our mind with the candies that life has to offer, and not only in physical, sweet, sugary candy form. But in the form of sleeping in one day a week, letting yourself take two-three hours extra in bed, if you're already sleeping five to six hours every night, let yourself feel spoiled once or twice a week with a really nice, eight to nine hour sleep!

Or if you've hit the gym hard several times this week, why not treat yourself to a few pieces of candies or a small bowl of chips one evening and spend an hour or two cuddled up in your couch, either alone or with family or friends!

The impact of morale boosts "Everything is detrimental in excess" is a saying you've probably heard at least a dozen times from at least three different people or more. And this is absolutely one heck of a true statement. Everything will eventually be detrimental in excess. Sugary sweets or salty bowls of chips are really not good for you. Especially not in excess. But in small quantities, at rare occasions, they're merely harmless! Unless you have diabetes or allergies, of course. But that's beside the point. The point is, these candies of life, sleeping in, enjoying the occasional bowl of chips or candy every now and then, spending some extra time with family and friends, will have a greater impact and feeling when you seldom indulge in those activities in comparison to when you indulge often. You'll feel envigourated, fueling your hard working journey of discipline and motivation that you're on.

Final thoughts and ending

Your life is quite short. You've only got about a 100 years total in life, as technology, knowledge, medicine and lifestyle has improved so much. You want to set yourself up to be able to enjoy the vast majority of your limited time the best as possible. In order to achieve that, you'll need to live a fullfilling life that satisfies your need to build your dream and getting closer to that goal. More often than not, reaching our dreams and ambitions will take years. We're talking five, seven, ten or even more, years!

Ask yourself, is it realistic to toil those years to your breaking point with no rewards until you've realized your dream, as you argue rewards may be a setback of time or health or wealth? Think one more time. Treating yourself with the candies of life, taking a small break every now and then, is more or less a requirement for the majority of people on this planet. Set yourself up for success, don't view the items as an evil time stealer or anything in the likes. See it as an investment in your vigor and motivation. Really, celebrate the small victories, as you reinforce your victory seeking behaviours as you do that. Thanks for reading, I'll see you in the next one! I'm going to have a really nice nights sleep when I go to bed in 90 minutes. And yes, I will sleep in an extra hour this night!
